“𝘑𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘶𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘢𝘸” said Jonathan Hawley, US Magistrate Judge to the Central District of Illinois, at the international conference on “𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝘇𝗯𝗲𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻” held today by Regional Dialogue in cooperation with Tashkent State University of Law and with support of the US State Department INL Bureau. Jonika Marflak Trontelj, Judge of the Supreme Court of Republic of Slovenia, and Judge Hawley shared their valuable insights on international standards of independent judiciary, training of the judges, improving their training system and disciplinary liability of judges in the EU and US. The conference participants also discussed the prospects of digitalization of the judiciary and the role of information and communication technologies in improving the efficiency of justice.
