Regional Dialogue is excited to have partnered with the Chamber of Advocates and the Ministry of Justice on a seminar focused on ensuring professional standards in legal practice, held on 26 November 2024, in Tashkent. The event featured insightful presentations from Dr. Veronika Denninger, Director of the International Department at the German Federal Bar Association, and Steven Van Dyke, U.S. Public Defender. Discussions covered a broad range of issues, including professional standards in legal services, the role of Bar associations in enforcing professional standards, and the challenges posed by new technologies and a possible misuse of AI in legal practice. The event concluded with a call for greater collaboration and continued dialogue in advancing the legal profession.
