Today, U.S. Magistrate Judge Hon. Lee Dunst from the Eastern District of New York and Robert K. Cassibry, a professor at South Carolina School of Law and former Supervisory Assistant Director-Criminal Programs at the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Legal Education, delivered a lecture on various aspects of the U.S. judicial system. Topics covered included the selection of judges at both federal and state levels, judges' immunity, judicial independence, and the procedures for judicial selection and nomination. The event was organized by Regional Dialogue and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and supported by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor.
