We are concluding the series of training workshops on the institution of preliminary hearings in Tashkent today, following presentations on the topic in Jizzakh, Fergana, Andijan, Namangan, Nukus, and Navoi.

We thank the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Uzbekistan for their successful cooperation on this project, the team of trainers for their professionalism and dedication, and the participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to learning novelties in the law.

We are hopeful that the intellectual capacity raised around the country on the institution of preliminary hearings will serve to strengthen the role of criminal defense lawyers in the country and promote the equality of arms in the criminal justice system.
