Tashkent Law Spring 2023
Tashkent Law Spring 2023

The Tashkent Law Spring forum took place on the 17th and 18th of May, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan. It brought together stakeholders from the legal community of Uzbekistan to discuss pressing topics including arbitration, digital technologies, anti-corruption policies, constitutional reforms, and strengthening fundamental human rights. As one of the major partners Regional Dialogue collaborated in the forum by engaging several Rule of Law experts, including Dr. Miro Cerar, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Gregory Weddle, former Assistant United States Attorney, Shontavia Johnson, Professor at Clemson University in South Carolina, and Jim Stergios the Executive Director of the Pioneer Institute, as well as in-house experts Goran Klemencic, Petra Gorjup, Quentin Reed and Francis Bremson. These experts actively participated in various panels throughout the two-day forum. The collaboration and insights shared during the Tashkent Law Spring exemplify our dedication to promoting the rule of law and advancing human rights in Uzbekistan with the support Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs and the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor.
